About SafeHospitals USA

Our mission, our team, and why we built this resource for American patients and families.

Why SafeHospitals USA Exists

Every year, tens of millions of Americans are admitted to hospitals. Many enter without knowing their legal rights, without understanding the safety standards they are entitled to expect, and without the knowledge to recognize when care is falling short.

SafeHospitals USA was built to change this. We believe that informed patients are safer patients — and that access to clear, accurate, evidence-based health information should not require a medical degree or a $500-an-hour consultant.

Our content draws on guidelines from the CDC, CMS, The Joint Commission, AHRQ, and peer-reviewed clinical research. We are fully independent — we do not accept sponsorship or advertising from hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, or medical device manufacturers.
